HR Shared Services Consultant
Edinburgh, hybrid working
Full Time, 12 month FTC (potential to go perm)
Salary up to £45,000 + benefits
Iconic Resourcing HR are working with a global investment management business to recruit an HR Shared Services Consultant on a 12-month FTC basis but with potential for the role to go permanent longer term.
The Shared Services Consultant will work closely with both the HR Shared Services team and the HR Business Partners to provide generalist support within EMEA and the US. Day to day, you will provide advice on ER matters, organisational change, recruitment, learning and development and succession, compensation reviews and benchmarking exercises. You will also drive and/or support on other project related initiatives working closely with the Shared Services Manager and HRBP team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide initial assistance to employees in various location, covering policy, interpretation, system navigation and lifecycle activities
- Serve as an escalation point for non-complex issues and queries across EMEA and US
- Assist in employee onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with the wider team
- Collaborate with the Shared Services team to review and enhance internal processes continuously
- Calculate exit benefits and generate retrenchment quotes
- Maintain and implement the global People & Culture calendar of activities in coordination with the Senior Manager, Policy, Process and Governance
- Support regular staff updates and communications from the EMEA people & culture team and lead the bi-month global newsletter
- Provide proactive support to EMEA client groups and HRBPs in implementing key people initiatives and projects such as talent & succession, DE&I integration and workforce planning
- Assist in managing employee relations matters and providing commercial support and guidance
- Contribute to productivity and continuous improvement efforts within the P&C team and HRBPs
- Take a lead on international assignment processes within EMEA, supported by relevant stakeholders
- Act as the secondary checker for the monthly pay run and ensure accurate and timely delivery of pay-runs for EMEA & US regions in the absence of the payroll manager
- Support benefit administration in EMEA & US regions and contribute to the annual renewal process for all benefits
Skills & experience required:
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR policy and regulatory environments
- Experience of working with a third party managed payroll provider
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with P&C colleagues, clients within the business and external vendors
- Strong customer focus and the ability to work with stakeholders to fully understand their needs
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and produce accurate work
- Can do attitude with flexibility to work with P&C colleagues in different time zones
- Good knowledge of UK payroll processes
- Experience with Orcale Fusion would be an advantage
