In-House Solicitor (up to 4 years PQE, or senior level with supervisory experience)

Salary: up to £65,000, dependant on experience
Are you a skilled Solicitor looking for an exciting opportunity to work in-house for a market leader in the healthcare sector? You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, engaging in a varied portfolio of legal matters, from medical malpractice claims to contract negotiation and regulatory compliance.
While we are ideally looking for a Solicitor with up to four years PQE, we are also open to considering more senior candidates who can provide supervisory support in the absence of the Head of Department.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing a diverse caseload of pre-litigated and litigated claims with minimal supervision.
- Acting as a Panel Solicitor, handling discussions with insurers, external law firms, and party litigants.
- Providing clear and concise legal advice to key stakeholders, including Board members and insurers.
- Supporting the business in a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.
- Providing leadership and supervisory support within the team as required (for senior candidates)
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Solicitor (Scotland) with a current practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland.
- Strong background in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation.
- Minimum 3 years PQE (although exceptional candidates with the right skills will be considered).
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strong IT and administrative skills.
- Willingness to research and advise on a wide range of legal issues.
- Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior team members is desirable (for senior candidates)
