Interim People Manager

£28–£31 per hour
Full-time | Interim Contract (up to 3 months)
Iconic Resourcing is proud to be partnering with a large, well-established, values-led organisation to appoint an experienced interim People Manager to support their HR function during a period of transition.
This is a key interim appointment, offering the opportunity to step into a leadership role within an established HR team, providing stability, direction and hands-on support while the organisation continues its search for a permanent hire.
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will lead a team of HR Business Partners and Recruitment Advisors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, pragmatic people advice across a complex and fast-paced environment.
This role requires a confident and credible HR leader who can quickly build relationships, navigate challenges, and provide immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of HR Business Partners and Recruitment Advisors
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex employee relations matters
- Support ongoing organisational change activity, ensuring a pragmatic and people-focused approach
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, offering guidance and constructive challenge where required
- Ensure consistency and quality in HR delivery across the function
- Work collaboratively with wider People teams, including Payroll and People Experience
About You
- Proven experience operating at HR Manager level within an HRBP model
- Strong employee relations experience, with confidence managing complex casework
- Comfortable working in a unionised or highly matrixed environment
- Able to quickly establish credibility and provide calm, solutions-focused leadership
- Resilient, adaptable and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Available at short notice and able to commit to a fully on-site role
