Learning & Development Lead/Advisor

£27,000 - £32,000 pro rata
Iconic Resourcing HR are delighted to be working with one of Scotland’s leading children’s charities to recruit a Learning & Development Lead/Advisor on a part time basis, working 3 days per week either from their Glasgow or Edinburgh office with home working also available.
Working closely with the Head of HR, you will provide a first-class HR service that meets the needs of the business, developing and supporting the implementation of the organisation’s learning and development priorities.
Day to day, you will take the lead role in the co-ordination, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development activities, you will prepare and deliver the annual learning and development plan, working proactively with colleagues to understand business needs, and evaluate outcomes. You will also take a lead role in developing the organisation’s Learning Management system, including developing the use of online learning, and developing the system so that it becomes a one stop shop for all learning materials, courses and resources. There may also be times where you need to liaise with external training and development providers to source training, including negotiating contracts, course content and costs.
Alongside this, you will work with Line Managers to develop line management capability around performance management and staff development, ensuring quality standards for learning and development are visible and monitored, and improvements to systems and processes are proactively identified, developed, and implemented. You will monitor the learning and development budget expenditure and ensure that organisational objectives are met cost effectively, contribute to and support the timely and efficient delivery of HR programmes and projects, evaluating these to ensure continuous improvement and provide expert and professional advice on Human Resources issues and learning and development and training needs. Finally, you will assist with producing, analysing and interpreting HR management information to inform policy development, identify trends, and recommend action as necessary.
We are seeking applications from candidates who have strong HR experience, ideally within an L&D function and who are CIPD qualified or working towards this. You will have experience of planning, delivering and evaluating learning and development, improving learning and development plans and identifying and commissioning internal and external training providers.
