Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for technical accounting and team leadership? Iconic Resourcing are recruiting for one of Glasgow's leading employers, a well-established and dynamic organisation, seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Financial Reporting team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, supporting statutory accountants, and ensuring critical deadlines are met. You’ll play a key part in delivering statutory accounts, board reports, and technical accounting papers, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead coordination with external auditors for group and UK audits.
- Oversee the preparation and review of board and FCA regulatory reports.
- Prepare and review technical accounting papers.
- Provide technical support to the statutory accountants.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
- Review Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects.
Previous Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAS/CIMA or equivalent).
- Proficiency in UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS is highly desirable.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex accounting concepts.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Team-oriented professional with proven management experience.
