Do you have month end accounting and reporting experience? Would you like to work for a leading global professional services firm with a clear strategy for future growth? Iconic Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to be based with our client in Glasgow City Centre.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a part qualified individual who is currently working in a similar professional services environment and is wanting to be a key member in a market leading and progressive company.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Management Accountant and will play a fundamental part in the group accounting team. They will ensure all accounts are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and will focus on the development and maintenance of appropriate controls and reconciliations that are in place.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with the Senior Manager to prepare and report month end accounts and WIP processes
- Monthly reviews of European offices management accounts and support the local offices when required, this requires adherence to global timetable
- Communicate with Head of Departments on their budgets and support the P&L forecasts
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Manage monthly reporting for the IT business services function to ensure costs are being reported correctly
- Continue to ensure UK GAAP is complied with across the global firm
Essential Skills and Experience
- Undergoing a relevant accounting qualification (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA etc)
- Experience in management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Understanding of UK GAAP
- Experience of statutory reporting
- Experienced in Excel
- Advanced time management skills
- Self-motivation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and make sense of large volumes of data
