Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting our key client within the Insurance sector as they seek to appoint an experienced Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis from their Glasgow City Centre offices.
Our client hold a strong history within their sector, dating back almost a century and holding a solid reputation for not only their product offering, but for their inclusive and progressive culture. An ambitious organisation with strong growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to assist with ensuring monthly Management Accounts are accounted for accurately and within agreed timelines. Key areas of the role will surround:
- Assisting senior management in the production of monthly management accounts, and relevant commentary, within the tight reporting deadline
- Preparation and review of reconciliations to verify the accuracy of management accounts
- Perform monthly, quarterly and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L
- Participate in the preparation and review of monthly reporting packs alongside the production and review of any requested ad hoc reporting
- Posting of month end journal transactions and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure SOX regulations are fully met
- Supporting the wider team and assisting with the delegation of workload
To be successful in this role, it’s important that you hold the following experience:
- PQ, QBE or Qualified Accountant
- Strong experience in the preparation of journals
- US GAAP & SOX experience would be advantageous
- Driven, determined and ability to operate well within a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Excellent IT literacy skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload & manage multiple deadlines
