NQ Solicitor / Solicitor – Private Client
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Salary: £47,000 to £51,000 + Benefits
We are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Scottish private client firm to recruit a Solicitor into their highly regarded team in Edinburgh. The firm has a long standing reputation for advising high net worth individuals, families, trustees and family businesses on complex private client matters.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist firm known for delivering a truly personal and holistic service, working closely with experienced colleagues on a wide range of private client work.
The Role
You will work closely with senior colleagues while also taking responsibility for your own caseload, advising on a broad range of private client matters. This will include drafting wills and powers of attorney, supporting on succession and tax planning, and advising on asset protection and family governance structures.
You will gain exposure to high net worth individuals and family business clients, assisting with matters such as trust structuring, estate planning and business succession, often working alongside accountants, tax advisers and other professionals to deliver joined up solutions.
The role also offers the opportunity to get involved in client relationship management, business development activities, and contributing to thought leadership through articles and networking.
The Candidate
The firm is keen to speak with NQ Solicitors or those with up to 2 years’ PQE, with experience in private client work and ideally exposure to high net worth individuals but this is not essential.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively. An interest in trusts and succession planning is important, and candidates working towards or keen to undertake STEP qualifications would be viewed favourably.
