CVH Spirits is a premium spirits business with a growing international footprint, bringing together a portfolio of high-quality brands across the whisky and wider drinks market. The business combines heritage, commercial focus and ambition, with a strong emphasis on quality, brand building and long-term growth.
We’re delighted to be supporting them with the appointment of a Paralegal to join their in-house Legal team. This opportunity has come about as part of a planned transition within the team, making it an excellent time for someone to join and develop their experience across a wide range of legal work.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, this is a varied and hands-on role covering contracts, compliance, company secretarial work and wider legal operations. It would suit someone looking to develop their in-house legal career in a dynamic and commercially focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
Legal Support & Contracts
- Assist with responding to general legal queries from stakeholders across the business
- Support the drafting, review, and finalisation of a range of commercial contracts
- Help manage the contracts management system and database
Compliance & Risk
- Undertake due diligence checks on vendors using the company’s compliance software systems
- Support product label checks to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Assist in managing operational licences across the business
Intellectual Property
- Support the management of trademarks, including liaising with external advisors
- Provide internal support on IP-related queries where required
Company Secretarial
- Assist with company secretarial duties, including preparing and submitting confirmation statements and Companies House filings
- Maintain statutory records and support the drafting of company resolutions
General Support
- Provide administrative support across legal and compliance activities
- Support the wider Legal function with ad hoc tasks as required
What You’ll Bring:
- A Law degree or law conversion course is preferred, or demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
