Are you an experienced Paralegal with a passion for property law? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a leading Property & Infrastructure team based in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a busy and growing team with conveyancing and plot sales matters, taking responsibility for a number of cases independently while working collaboratively with colleagues.
You will play a key role in supporting solicitors across a range of property transactions, from negotiating and concluding missives to handling post-completion activities. The role offers the opportunity to work on high-quality matters, develop your technical expertise, and benefit from a supportive and structured environment — with the option to complete paralegal exams if desired.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Negotiate and conclude missives, reporting to and taking instructions from clients
-
Progress and complete plot sales transactions efficiently and accurately
-
Compile title packs and maintain online data rooms for developments and sites
-
Assist in preparing pro-forma documentation, lender consents, and deeds of restriction
-
Support the process of buying in and selling on part-exchange properties, including title examination and LBTT submissions
-
Prepare and submit applications for registration
-
Order property searches, legal reports, and charges searches
-
Manage datarooms, maintain organised files, and support post-completion processes
-
Prepare bills and WIP narrative reports where required
-
Attend training, CPD sessions, networking events, and support business development initiatives
We are looking for someone with:
-
Knowledge and experience in Scottish commercial conveyancing
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong IT skills and experience using office systems and case management tools
-
A proactive and professional approach, with excellent attention to detail
-
The ability to work autonomously under supervision, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
-
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
-
A collaborative mindset and commitment to providing an exceptional client experience
