Remuneration: £125,000 - £175,000
We’re working with a leading national law firm with a strong Scottish presence that is entering a significant phase of growth and is now seeking a Commercial IP / IT Partner to play a key role in the development of its Scottish practice.
This is a priority strategic hire within a firm that has clear ambitions to scale its Scottish offering materially over the coming years and expand internationally in the near term. The Scottish office operates as a true contributor to the wider firm, delivering work across the UK rather than relying on instructions from the South.
The Opportunity
Commercial IP / IT has been identified as a key growth area within the firm’s Scotland strategy. There is strong demand from existing clients, particularly across technology, digital, regulated sectors and energy, and a clear opportunity to build a robust, market-facing offering with the backing of the wider national practice.
This is a chance to shape and lead, rather than inherit. The firm is looking for a senior individual who can help define the direction of the Commercial IP / IT practice in Scotland, working closely with colleagues across corporate, banking, real estate and sector-led teams.

This role would suit an established Partner or a senior individual ready to step into partnership, with experience across commercial contracts, technology, data, IP, outsourcing or digital projects.
