Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting one of our well-established and highly regarded clients within the transportation sector as they seek to appoint a Payroll Administrator within their Glasgow City Centre head office.
Our client have been operational for over two decades, employing over 15,000 people and providing essential transportation links across the UK. Due to continued growth, an experienced Payroll Administrator is required to assist in driving the payroll division forward. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of all employees, placing a focus on:

Processing payroll as part of a team for >25,000 employees ensuring all information is processes accurately and to deadline
-
Processing payroll across several cycles to include weekly, 4 weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accurate input of high volume information such as expenses, commission and overtime

Being a main point of contact for the business in relation to answering payroll and pension queries

Maintaining maternity pay along with sickness and other absence payments whilst maintaining and monitoring records as necessary, keeping abreast of legislations within these areas

Processing starters/leavers and ensuring employee records are consistently maintained and kept up to date

Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions

Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations, including pensions, P11d’s, & RTI

Assisting in supporting new team members in training
To be successful in this role, it's important that you hold the following experience:

Strong experience of working within a fast-paced and high-volume payroll position

Experience of processing payroll across multiple payroll cycle

Strong attention to detail skills

Ability to work to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Excellent problem solving skills

Good IT skills
