Temporary Payroller
Glasgow | £19-£20 per hour | Immediate start available
We're supporting a well-established Glasgow-based organisation in the appointment of an experienced payroll professional to oversee a busy, complex payroll function on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively across teams and acting as a key payroll contact within the business.
Whilst the role has management responsibilities, we're open to considering strong payroll professionals who may not have previously managed a team but can demonstrate extensive end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment.
The role will involve:
- Managing end-to-end payroll processes across a varied workforce
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Completing monthly reconciliations and supporting year-end activities
- Producing payroll reports, analysis and management information
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll, pensions, taxation and employee queries
- Working closely with HR, Finance and wider business stakeholders
- Supporting pay awards, salary changes and statutory submissions
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
- Providing support and guidance to a Payroll Administrator
We're keen to speak with individuals who have:
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a large or complex organisation
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
This role would suit an experienced Payroll Manager, Senior Payroll Specialist, Senior Payroll Administrator or Payroll Lead looking for their next opportunity.
Immediate availability or short notice periods would be highly advantageous.
