Planning and Reporting System Analyst
Paisley - hybrid
Competitive salary and benefits package
Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering again with Scottish institution Loganair in their search for a Planning and Reporting System Analyst to join the finance function. This is a newly created permanent role, designed to support the MI & Data Manager in the roll-out of new reporting and data analysis systems and methods to the wider business.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and administering the IBM Planning Analytics system. Your responsibilities will include ensuring data accuracy, developing and maintaining reports, and offering user support throughout the business. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in leading all budgeting and forecasting activities.
The ideal candidate will come from a finance background, with the likelihood of having worked in a systems and data analysis role on either a permanent or secondment-type basis and with a passion to make this element of their role their long term career.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the ongoing functionality and performance of the IBM Analytics Suite.
- Work closely with the Data & MI Manager to create new features and improve the IBM Planning Analytics system and provide rollout to the rest of the business.
- Collaborate with business partners to build and refine financial reports that meet stakeholders' needs.
- Help integrate IBM Planning Analytics with other business systems to simplify reporting.
- Support budget holders with their budgeting and forecasting activities from a data and analytics perspective.
- Ensure that all monthly financial reports from the IBM Analytics Suite are accurate and consistent with data from other systems.
- Provide technical support and training to help users across departments effectively use the system.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues with the IBM Analytics Suite.
- Keep detailed records of system configurations, processes, and user guides.
Previous Experience
The successful candidate will likely come from a finance background, with experience in a Finance Analyst role preferred. Some systems implementation or maintenance experience is highly desirable as is a strong data analysis background - this can be in the form of a specific role undertaken or as part of a project or secondment where systems and data analysis were at the forefront. Previous experience with IBM Planning Analytics (previously known as TM1) would be highly beneficial but not required.
The ability to analyse complex data and communicate the outcomes to non-financial stakeholders is required, so experience business partnering with operational teams would be advantageous. Excellent time management is required to meet multiple deadlines with competing priorities.
On offer is a strong package and benefits including hybrid working as well as an opportunity to develop this aspect of your career with a Scottish household name.
This role is being exclusively managed by Loganair's retained advisors at Iconic Resourcing, who will also be conducting the first stage interviews via video.
