Role - Planning Partner, Real Estate
Location - Glasgow or Edinburgh
Permanent - Full time/Hybrid
As a Planning Partner within this firm market leading Real Estate Department, you will hold a pivotal position within their Scottish office and work closely with the Scottish Real Estate Partners as well as the wider UK Planning team. Having access to a fantastic array of clients your primary responsibility will be to oversee and develop the planning practice. You'll be tasked with managing planning and environmental matters, providing strategic advice, and contributing to the strategic growth and development of the planning team and wider real estate services.
Skills and Attributes:
•A Planning Partner, with experience gained at a highly reputable firm.
•Experienced in providing general planning advice, drafting of infrastructure agreements, strategic planning advice, statutory changes, interpretation of existing policy to the delivery of complex mixed-use schemes.
•Technically astute you will be well versed in all elements of planning, highways and environmental law.
•Strong business acumen, commercial awareness and understanding of business processes to grow and build out your practice.
•Enthusiasm for business development and a demonstrable client following complimented with a network of contacts across the planning, real estate and general property market. Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with the partnership especially the wider UK real estate team.
•Desire, resolve and drive to continue building out your specialist knowledge and expertise.
•First class communication, influencing and stakeholder relationship skills.
•Comfortable working at pace within a firm with ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and develop the planning practice within the Real Estate Department in Scotland.
•Manage a diverse portfolio of planning matters, including land use, development, and regulatory issues.
•Provide expert guidance on a wide range of planning matters from residential to commercial developments both in the private and the public sector.
•Foster and maintain client relationships, offering strategic and commercially sound planning advice.
•Collaborate with partners, lawyers, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
•Developing and executing strategic plans to ensure clients receive the highest quality of legal advice and representation.
•Contribute to the strategic planning and business development initiatives within the firm.
