Job Title: Planning Senior Associate

This leading international firm is seeking a qualified planning lawyer to join our highly ranked Planning & Environmental team. With unparalleled expertise, the team lead the market in delivering exceptional services within the Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate sectors. The team is made up of comprises specialists dedicated to major projects, providing comprehensive legal support across various domains.
Responsibilities:
- Use your expertise in areas such as the Electricity Act 1989, Town and Country Planning Acts, Planning Act 2008, Transport and Works Acts, compulsory acquisition/purchase, compensation matters, EIA/HRA, inquiries/examinations, and judicial review.
- Collaborate with the Energy & Infrastructure consenting specialists on high-profile projects including offshore wind, large-scale solar, carbon capture plants, nuclear, energy networks, interconnectors, pipelines, water infrastructure, flood defence, airports, roads, rail, and rapid transit systems.
- Advise clients on Development Consent Orders, carbon capture projects, infrastructure developments, and judicial reviews.
- Engage in business development activities to enhance our market presence and foster client relationships.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with upwards of 6 years PQE experience, ideally gained in a large regional or national practice.
- Strong academic background.
- Technically excellent with commercial awareness.
- Proven track record in business development.
- Team player with a client-focused approach and outgoing personality.
