You'll join one of Scotland's largest and most technically capable tax practices outside the Big Four, gaining exposure to complex personal tax matters, high-value advisory projects, and a broad range of entrepreneurial and private clients. Supported by experienced specialists across multiple disciplines, you'll be encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas, and play a visible role in shaping both client outcomes and the future direction of the team.
What you'll do
You'll oversee a portfolio of personal tax clients, leading the delivery of complex compliance work while acting as a trusted adviser on a range of personal tax matters. You'll build long-term relationships with clients, identify opportunities to add value, and collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to deliver joined-up advice.
Alongside client work, you'll contribute to advisory assignments, support process improvement initiatives, and play an active role in developing junior team members. You'll help drive standards across the team, promote a positive culture, and ensure clients continue to receive a proactive and commercially focused service.
What you'll need
• Strong experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work
• Ability to manage client relationships confidently and independently
• Experience coaching, mentoring or developing junior team members
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to add value
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• ATT, CTA, CA or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
• A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to a high-performing team
