An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join a well-established luxury brand based in Glasgow city centre.
With a key member of the team due to leave, we're looking for a confident Purchase Ledger Supervisor to take ownership of the purchase ledger function, lead a small team and drive efficient processes. This role will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with genuine scope to become permanent for the right person.
As Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you'll oversee two members of the purchase ledger team while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day operation of the ledger.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting a team of two Purchase Ledger Assistants

Managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process

Ensuring invoices are processed accurately and within deadlines

Overseeing supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs

Resolving complex supplier queries and escalating issues where required

Reviewing and improving purchase ledger processes and controls

Supporting the wider finance team during busy periods
We're looking for someone with:

Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk

Strong end-to-end purchase ledger knowledge

Experience managing or mentoring others

A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills

Strong attention to detail and the ability to improve processes

The confidence to hit the ground running in a fast-paced finance environment
