Working within this team you will provide support in the development and acquisition of energy projects, whether they are onshore or offshore, ranging from small-scale initiatives to large scale capacity ventures. Additionally, you will be at the forefront of promoting and developing strategic mixed-use projects, encompassing everything from niche residential developments to groundbreaking new town projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Researching, analyzing and interpreting existing and newly-passed legislation that would impact the client's current work.
- Drafting contracts, assessing risk, providing guidance, and negotiation.
- Providing counsel to clients on a range of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, technology, corporate and project finance to a range of contracts.
- Providing advice on corporate, environmental, securities regulations, and other areas of law.
- Draft, review and providing feedback on various contracts related to energy, renewables and real estate.
Qualifications
- Scottish Qualified Solicitor
- A minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience
- Law degree and diploma
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate, Energy, Renewables or Rural property
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in Corporate Transactions, M&A and Project finance.
- Analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Knowledge of legal systems and procedures.
