Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

Are you a qualified solicitor with a passion for property law and a knack for client service? We’re working with a well-established legal firm in Edinburgh looking to grow their Residential Conveyancing team with a dedicated and detail-oriented Solicitor.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and reputable firm that offers a broad range of residential property services. If you thrive on client interaction and managing your own caseload from start to finish, this could be the ideal next step in your legal career.
You’ll be advising clients on the legal aspects of buying, selling, and transferring property, including remortgages and transfers of title. You’ll manage your own caseload with the support of a highly experienced team, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and with the highest standard of client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions
- Examine property titles and identify any issues requiring advice
- Prepare and review legal documentation including deeds and contracts
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders, and third parties throughout the process
- Advise clients on the legal process and implications at every stage
- Handle settlements and ensure timely, accurate completion of transactions
- Support cross-selling efforts by identifying opportunities for additional services
About You:
- LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (Scotland)
- Minimum of 6 months’ post-qualification experience in a residential conveyancing role
- Strong knowledge of property and conveyancing law
- Confident managing client meetings and providing clear legal advice
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
- Comfortable with digital systems and case management tools
