Iconic Resourcing HR are looking to recruit a Resource Planner to join our professional services client within their newly development Resource Management team. The role can be based either from their Glasgow or Edinburgh office with hybrid working also available.
Supporting the Resource Manager as they introduce a range of new Resource Management strategies, processes and procedures in line with business objectives, you will be integral to supporting with new ways of working as well as ensuring they have the right people, doing the right job, at the right time.
Day to day you will be the main point of contact for all short to medium term resourcing questions, queries and changes as well as being a trusted advisor providing sound advice on workforce planning and resource management activities. You will negotiate with senior Stakeholders to deliver resourcing and strategic requirements and have the ability to adapt to changing resource requirements in line with staff movements, new wins and exits.
As well as this, you will proactively prepare and lead on resourcing meetings to deliver key messages and resolve resourcing challenges/changes, report and forecast on long term planning, monitor and review staffing levels and staff distribution, challenging on resourcing requests or changes to budgeting information as well as manage the process around clashes an shortfalls to find a resolution. You will also take an active role in the budgeting process including training, reviewing budgets, resourcing based on budgeting information and challenging budgets and be able to forecast based on budgeting information and plan ahead based on this outlook to make effective resourcing decisions.
We are seeking applications from candidates with previous Resourcing Planning experience who ideally have worked within a professional services environment and have the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to positively impact and influence others. As well as this, you will have a good working knowledge of Excel and be able to digest data, the ability to manage and take ownership for your own workload but also have a willingness to develop and learn as the role/team grows.
