Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting our ever-growing and well-established client within the maritime transportation sector as they seek to appoint an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager on a 12 FTC at their head offices in Inverclyde. This role has the scope to move to a permanent position, or expand into a role within the wider group.

An award-winning and customer-focused organisation who provide services across ferry and port operation and ship management. Our client are well-known within their industry for their value add across tourism, communities and transport. With consistent demand and growth, our client are now seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager who will play an integral part in helping to shape the Revenue Accounting Team, providing hands-on support and assisting in new system implementation. Key areas of the role will include:
- Overseeing a team of 4 experienced Revenue Accounting specialists, ensuring their continual development and providing hands-on support to ensure their deliverance of objectives for month-end processes
- Assist in the new systems implementation by ensuring that the team has all that they need to proceed with this, and ensuring that this new system leaves no gaps/issues from a revenue accounting perspective
- Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders ensuring the complete and accurate recording of all sales income across the Group
- Identify gaps in the control framework by assessing the existing sales and revenue process, working towards improvements to refine these processes and omit risks
- Drive internal KPIs within the team, including timely reporting with all relevant stakeholders
- Ad-hoc duties as and when required
What we're looking for:
To be successful within this role, it's important that you hold the following experience:
- Strong knowledge across key accounting principles such as balance sheet P&L, credits/debits
- Hands-on management experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing team members
- Experience of managing change within processes/procedures/systems
- At least 2 years' experience within a similar role
- This role is open to candidates who are QBE, PQ or Qualified

This role offers flexibility in hours additionally, however core hours fall between M-F 0830 - 1700.
