Senior Accounts Assistant
Location - Glasgow (Hybrid)
Contract: 6-months FTC (with potential extension)
Salary: Up to £29,500 per annum
Are you a finance whizz who loves numbers, problem-solving, and keeping everything running smoothly? We are delighted to be partnering with our key client Avidity in the search for a Senior Accounts Assistant. This role is perfect for someone with strong credit control and accounts receivable experience who’s eager to make an impact from day one.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be the go-to person for all things accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are raised, payments are chased, and cash allocations are accurate. Your role will include:
- Managing all aspects of accounts receivable
- Converting sales orders into invoices and issuing via portals or email
- Liaising with internal account managers to support cash collection
- Daily cash allocation and bank checks
- Supporting month-end journals, bank payments, and balance sheet reconciliations
This role is primarily internal-facing, with some email communication to clients as needed. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in other finance projects if your experience allows, giving you variety and exposure to the full finance function.
What We’re Looking For:
We want someone confident with numbers, highly organised, and ready to take ownership of their work. You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in a similar AR or credit control role
- Strong Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy with high-volume data
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
