The Role of Senior Associate / Legal Director is an integral part of the team and will involve building close client relationships as well as introducing your own client relationships to the firm through networking and your reputable reputation.
The required candidate will ideally have a minimum of 6+ years PQE in a similar role or be able to demonstrate competence in the following
The Duties and Responsibilities
You will undertake a broad and varied range of dispute resolution work ensuring the workload is always varied and interesting, however general duties will include
- Demonstrate extensive experience and understanding of construction litigation, some commercial litigation experience would also be advantageous
- Effectively act on behalf of clients in resolution of contentious issues
- Demonstrate strong advocacy skills in handling Hearings, Adjudications and Arbitration across both Sheriff Court and Court of Session
- Be commercially minded and provide clear practical advice to clients as well as alternative routes to resolution
- Take effective statements and attend consultations, draft pleadings and instruct expert witnesses
- Be actively involved in industry networking and generate work through business development
- Demonstrate effectively handling a busy caseload whilst maintaining client relations
- Meet all deadlines and comply with all company procedures
- Have the ability to work automatously whilst being an effective part of a wider team
