Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division have partnered with a well-established fast, casual brand in their search for an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, 4m FTC to be based fully onsite within their South Lanarkshire base. Please note there is potential for contract extension.

As a rapidly expanding organisation, now is an exciting time to join the team. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting across the transactional Finance functions, alongside participating in month-end activities. Key areas of the role will include:
- Match, batch, and code purchase invoices
- Ensure all suppliers are paid timely within credit terms
- Raise PO's and reconcile supplier statements
- Import all sales invoices to the appropriate sales ledger client account, ensuring all VAT is appropriately charged, and email all sales invoices to clients
- Process all sales receipts and ensure the sales ledger is reconciled to the nominal ledger
- Identify all debt nearing due payment date and follow up to collect outstanding funds
- Produce, review, and process fortnightly payment runs
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Cash allocation duties
- Monthly management accounts duties - including, but not limited to, preparation of accruals and prepayments, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, drafting journals for review and preparing VAT returns
- Adhoc duties when needed
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Experienced within the monthly management accounting and month-end close process
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable / payable, banking, related systems and controls
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work well within a changing environment
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Please note, this role will be based within the company's busy and buzzing South Lanarkshire offices on a full-time and permanent basis, requiring full onsite presence. You will have the opportunity to liaise with the wider business on a daily basis, where you will be met with a supportive, collaborative, and passionate team. Offering a competitive base salary of up to £37k DOE and the opportunity to work within a high growth organisation.
