Iconic Resourcing is proud to partner with a leading Scottish law firm to recruit an experienced Senior Legal Cashier. This is a permanent opportunity to lead the Cashroom function within a highly respected legal practice known for its expertise, integrity, and supportive working environment.
If you are an experienced Legal Cashier or Cashroom Supervisor with strong compliance knowledge and leadership skills, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role within a well-established firm.
The Role
As Senior Legal Cashier, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cashroom, ensuring full compliance with relevant Law Society Accounts Rules and internal financial controls.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Cashroom staff

Oversee firm and client account transactions in line with regulatory requirements

Ensure accurate processing of payments, receipts, and transfers

Complete monthly and ad-hoc reconciliations

Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

Report and manage any breaches in accordance with firm policies
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

Proven experience as a Senior Legal Cashier or Legal Cashier within a law firm

Strong working knowledge of legal accounting procedures and compliance regulations

Proficiency in a Practice Management System

Excellent organisational and people management skills

High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
