Senior Legal Secretary / Team Leader - Private Client - Glasgow

Senior Legal Secretary / Team Leader - Private Client
Salary: £42,500 to £48,500 plus Benefits
Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid Working)

We have partnered with a leading Scottish law firm as they look to appoint a Practice Support Manager to support their Personal & Family division. This is a newly created role within a wider transformation of the support function and offers the opportunity to play a genuinely influential role within a modern, evolving environment.

This position combines people leadership with operational management, making it well suited to someone who enjoys improving processes, supporting teams and driving positive change. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the practice area to ensure support functions operate efficiently while identifying smarter and more effective ways of working.

The firm has invested heavily in its support structure and technology, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation. You’ll also work alongside a wider community of Practice Support Managers across the business, sharing ideas, best practice and supporting wider initiatives together.

The Role
You’ll oversee an established support team whilst acting as a key operational support partner to the wider legal team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Line management and development of support colleagues.
  • Managing workload allocation, resource planning and team capacity.
  • Supporting wellbeing, performance management and ongoing development.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand operational needs and challenges.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and service delivery.
  • Encouraging the use of technology, digital tools and AI to create efficiencies.

What They're Looking For

  • Previous people management experience within professional services.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior individuals.
  • Proactive, organised and self-motivated approach.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience with DMS and BigHand would be advantageous.

You’ll join a business with a strong reputation for investing in its people and creating a collaborative, forward thinking culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move into a broader operational leadership role where they can genuinely influence how support services are delivered.

To apply for this role, please send your CV or contact Connie Nimmo at Iconic Resourcing for a confidential chat and further details.
