Senior Management Accountant (18-month FTC)
Glasgow City Centre
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are currently in a similar role, who are looking for an exciting new challenge with a great team and company. The successful candidate will work in the finance team reporting to the Senior Group Accounting Manager. The role involves being a vital member of the group accounting team, responsible for preparing group accounts and management/statutory financial information accurately and on time. The focus is on enhancing processes, maintaining proper controls and reconciliations.

The Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly FTE figures and headcount reports
- Analyse and provide commentary on global monthly remuneration
- Review and provide support for monthly management accounts for international offices
- Review balance sheet reconciliations for these offices and challenge where needed
- Review UK management accounts and supporting reports
- Monitor Operations, Office Accommodation, and Ops Legal Support results for accurate FTE and cost reporting
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on Trade debtors control accounts, provisioning for doubtful debts, and property-related accounts
- Assist senior management and business as needed
- Coordinate and oversee Operations, Ops Legal Support, and Office Accommodation annual budgets
- Work with Function Heads for full understanding and commentary on budget outputs
- Manage year-end debtor certification process
- Assist with preparation of annual consolidated statutory accounts and specific disclosure notes
- Coordinate with external auditors throughout annual audit fieldwork process
- Ensure FRS 102 compliance across global firm
Skills & Experience Required
- Accountancy qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of FRS 102 and statutory reporting
- Excellent time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Self motivation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and make sense of large volumes of data
