The Role of Senior Solicitor is an integral part of the team and will involve managing your own caseload primarily within property disputes which is the teams main focus.
The required candidate will ideally have 2-4 years PQE in a similar role or be able to demonstrate competence in the following gained from either a private practice or in house experience
- Act on behalf of clients in the resolution of any contentious issues across Sheriff Court, Court of Session, Scottish Land Courts, Land Tribunals and first and upper tier property chamber
- Review, draft and amend pleadings
- Take witness statements, instruct expert witnesses and prepare cases for proofs and debates
- Provide commercial advice in a clear and concise manner to clients
- Provide support to other areas of the business and offer legal opinion on dispute resolution matters
- Demonstrate effectively handling a busy caseload whilst maintaining client relations
- Meet all deadlines and comply with all company procedures
- Have the ability to work automatously whilst being an effective part of a wider team
