Iconic Resourcing are proud to partner with our global client, for the position of Associate Solicitor, in their highly regarded International Construction Team. The role will be based in their Glasgow city centre office on a hybrid basis and will consist of working in conjunction with the highly prominent wider London Construction Team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone 1-4 years PQE, to work with a large and experienced team and who wishes to continue to expand their knowledge. This is an unrivalled opportunity to be involved in a wide range of iconic global projects, advising on a varied and interesting caseload.
The role of Associate Solicitor is an integral part of the team and will involve advising clients from the outset, on a wide variety of high profile and high value projects for international and domestic developers as well as public sector clients. The quality of work on offer will be varied and interesting and will allow for unique opportunities of exposure.
The Duties and Responsibilities
You will undertake a broad and varied range of transactional and contentious work for clients across Glasgow and London, however general duties will include
- Taking ownership for advising clients on general constructions matters, as well as co-ordinating and liaising with other solicitors and teams as required
- Draft documents and supply correspondence to client and other solicitors in a timely manner
- Confidently take initiative in escalating more complex matters to senior team members for guidance
- Proven ability to work commercially
- Communicate effectively with client, colleagues, external suppliers and if required opposing counsel in any disputes
- Maintain, build and strengthen client relationships whilst providing best practice solutions for their needs
- Demonstrate effectively handling a busy caseload whilst maintaining client relations
- Meet all deadlines and comply with all company procedures
- Have the ability to work autonomously whilst being an effective part of a wider team
