Solicitor / Senior Solicitor - Corporate Tax
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £55,500 to £70,000 plus Bonus and Benefits
We are partnered with a leading Scottish independent firm to recruit into their highly regarded Corporate Tax team based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. The team is consistently ranked Band 1 and is recognised for advising UK and international clients on complex, high-value and often market leading corporate, commercial and real estate transactions.
The Role
You will work closely with highly experienced partners and a wider team of solicitors, accountants and tax advisers on a varied mix of transactional and advisory tax matters.
The role will involve:
- Advising on tax structuring of corporate acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations.
- Supporting on complex commercial property transactions and advising on LBTT, SDLT and VAT implications.
- Advise on employee share incentive arrangements, employment tax matters and broader corporate tax advisory work.
The team advises an impressive client base including large corporates, developers, investors, funds, high-growth businesses and professional services firms. There will also be opportunities to work on standalone advisory matters as well as supporting major transactions across the firm.
You will be encouraged to build strong client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives and become involved in client seminars, updates and wider profile-raising activities.
About You
The role is open to solicitors with 1+ years’ PQE and candidates from a tax advisory or accountancy background with relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience of corporate tax, property tax, VAT, employment tax or transactional support work would be advantageous, although candidates with broader corporate or commercial experience and a genuine interest in tax are encouraged to apply.
