Solicitor / Senior Solicitor – Rural Property

Are you a solicitor with an interest in rural property, agriculture, or land management? We’re working with a highly regarded firm seeking a motivated lawyer to join their Rural Property Team based in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ to 4 PQE solicitor to develop expertise across a broad range of rural property and agricultural work, with genuine scope for progression and client exposure.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice on rural property transactions, including the sale and purchase of farms, estates, and forestry, advising on agricultural tenancies, and assisting with renewable energy developments. There will also be opportunities to become involved in succession planning and partnership advice, offering a varied and rewarding workload.
Key Responsibilities:

Act on behalf of clients in the sale and purchase of rural land, farms, estates, and forestry

Advise landlords and tenants on agricultural tenancies and related issues

Support clients involved in renewable energy and infrastructure developments

Contribute to succession planning and partnership advice

Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver excellent client service

Maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues throughout each transaction

Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and financial management requirements

Participate in marketing and networking activities to develop client relationships
We are looking for someone with:

Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Exposure to rural property, agricultural, or conveyancing work (beneficial but not essential)

A strong understanding of Scottish property law

The ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

A proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach

An interest in business development and a willingness to attend client or networking events

A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
