Solicitor – Industrial Disease / Personal Injury

Are you a qualified Solicitor with a passion for personal injury and industrial disease law? We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our specialist Disease Team in Glasgow, supporting clients affected by industrial conditions such as vibration-related injuries, noise-induced hearing loss, skin disease, and lung disease.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a highly specialised field, delivering expert legal advice and making a tangible difference in clients’ lives, while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.
What the Role Involves
- Case Management: Handle a mix of pre-litigation and litigation industrial disease claims.
- Court Work: Gain experience with cases in specialist courts, including ASPIC and the Court of Session.
- Client Interaction: Provide expert legal advice and maintain clear, compassionate communication with clients.
- Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts.
- Legal Documentation: Draft writs, statements, and other legal documents.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and contribute to mentoring junior team members.
- Court Representation: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court as appropriate.
Who We’re Looking For
- PQE Requirement: Minimum of 1-year PQE, ideally 1–3 years.
- Experience: Previous experience in industrial disease claims is advantageous, but strong personal injury experience will also be considered.
- Legal Expertise: Solid understanding of personal injury law.
- Professional Skills: Excellent organisation, case management, and communication skills.
- Team Player: Collaborative and supportive, thriving in a dynamic team environment.
- Location: Must be able to commute to the Glasgow office.
