Are you a newly qualified to three years’ qualified solicitor with an interest in private client work, tax, and succession planning? We’re working with a highly regarded, private client-focused law firm to recruit a motivated solicitor to join their Private Client team based in Edinburgh.

The Opportunity
Working as part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide advice on a broad range of private client matters, including trusts, executries, estate planning, and related tax issues. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across property, family, employment, and business law to deliver holistic advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on trusts, executries, and tax and succession planning matters.

Work closely with colleagues across multiple legal disciplines to provide integrated advice.

Draft legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.

Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, delivering clear and empathetic guidance.

Handle sensitive financial and personal information with discretion and professionalism.

Contribute to team discussions, client development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
We’re looking for a solicitor who is personable, professional, and eager to develop their expertise in private client law. You’ll enjoy working with people and take pride in providing practical, thoughtful advice to clients with complex personal and financial circumstances.
You will demonstrate:

Experience or exposure to private client work, ideally including trusts, executries, or tax and succession matters.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in client relationships.

Strong attention to detail, organisation, and confidentiality.

A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required.

Commercial awareness and a proactive attitude toward learning and career growth.
