Iconic Resourcing HR are delighted to be partnering exclusively with Maggies, a leading cancer charity, who are looking to recruit a HR Co-Ordinator to join their growing HR team based in Glasgow. A truly exciting opportunity for a focused HR professional to take responsibility for all payroll and pension activity while maintaining input to other key, generalist areas of HR.
The Role
Working as part of a small but busy team, you will assume responsibility for processing the monthly payroll draft and being the first point of contact for all employees around salary queries. You will ensure the correct pension paperwork is completed and processed for each new staff member and that any new employees are enrolled in the correct scheme within the required timescale. As well as this, you will update all staff changes in relation to name change, marital status, tax code and ensure these are logged in correct monthly pay run and process any childcare vouchers payments, applications for travel loans, cycle loans and Ride to Work scheme and ensuring correct re-payments are taken on payroll. You will also ensure you update any HR trackers daily for leavers, maternity and all salary amendments and support the annual salary review and associated changes to payroll.
Alongside this, you will support from an HR Generalist perspective, providing advice for employees across your own geographical area. This will mean developing strong working relationships with all staff members, so they feel comfortable approaching your regarding any personal and/or sensitive HR issues as well as being able to manage any issues across your area from an employee relations perspective. You will assist with the implementation of all policies, procedures, and processes, update organisational structure charts to reflect current staffing model and budgeted roles in pipeline, co-ordinate the checklist for exiting employees to ensure that all exit procedures are completed meanwhile always ensuring that the HR systems is kept accurate and up to date.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking applications from HR candidates with generalist experience and who are comfortable managing employee relations casework, recruitment, exit interviews and general queries but who have also had exposure to payroll and who are comfortable collating and cross checking this data on a monthly basis. You will also be CIPD qualified.
You will have a good understanding of current Employment Law and HR best practice and be able to advise staff on a variety of general HR matters, all while upholding Maggie’s culture, values, and best practice. You will be enthusiastic and happy to roll your sleeves up and work as part of a team all while using your own initiative. In return, you will get great exposure to all things HR across your geographical area.
A great opportunity, the successful candidate will be rewarded with competitive salary between £25,440 to £29,500 (dependent on experience) plus attractive benefits to include 27 days holiday plus 9 public holidays. This role is officed based (Glasgow) with occasional travel to the other UK offices however this will be infrequent.
