Why This Role Has Been Created
As AliveDx looks ahead to the next phase of growth, the business is making a deliberate investment in how it attracts, engages and develops future talent.
Historically, recruitment activity has focused on meeting immediate hiring demands. Whilst that remains an important element of the role, the business now wants to take a more strategic approach to talent acquisition by building sustainable talent pipelines, strengthening relationships with universities and educational partners, enhancing its employer brand and creating future pathways for graduates, interns and early-career talent.
This newly created position will play a key role in delivering that vision.
Working closely with HR leadership and stakeholders across the business, you'll help shape how AliveDx attracts specialist talent across areas including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing and Operations, whilst ensuring current hiring needs continue to be met.
For someone who enjoys building, influencing and creating new recruitment initiatives rather than simply managing vacancies, this is a genuine opportunity to make a lasting impact.
The Opportunity
This role combines hands-on recruitment delivery with longer-term talent attraction initiatives.
You'll work closely with leaders across the business to manage recruitment activity whilst developing sustainable talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
Alongside recruitment, you'll help create and strengthen relationships with universities, schools, industry groups and external networks to improve awareness of AliveDx and support future talent initiatives.
In time, you'll also work closely with HR and future Learning & Development colleagues on areas such as:
- Graduate programmes
- Internship opportunities
- Early careers initiatives
- Apprenticeship pathways
- Future workforce planning
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across a range of business functions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and priorities.
- Source and engage candidates through a range of direct sourcing techniques.
- Build talent pools for future hiring requirements.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Reduce reliance on reactive and agency-led recruitment activity.
Talent Attraction & Employer Branding
- Develop and maintain external talent pipelines.
- Represent AliveDx at careers fairs, networking events and industry forums.
- Build relationships with universities, colleges and educational partners.
- Support future graduate, intern and apprenticeship initiatives.
- Promote AliveDx as an employer of choice within the local and wider Scottish market.
- Identify new and innovative ways to attract hard-to-find talent.
What We're Looking For
We're open to candidates from a range of recruitment and talent acquisition backgrounds.
You may currently be working as a:
- Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Talent Acquisition Partner
- Internal Recruiter
- Recruitment Business Partner
- Recruitment Consultant looking to move in-house
Most importantly, you'll bring:
- Experience managing recruitment processes from attraction through to hire.
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement capability.
- Experience building talent pipelines and engaging passive candidates.
- A proactive and creative approach to talent attraction.
- Confidence building relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- The ability to balance operational recruitment with longer-term projects.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
Experience within life sciences, manufacturing, engineering, technical or regulated environments would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
