Iconic Resourcing presents a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Assistant (Corporate Tax Compliance) to join a successful tax team within one of the Big 4 Accountancy Practices.

The firm are investing heavily into their Financial Services practice as they recognise the importance and value of corporation tax compliance. The FS practice comprises a range of divisions including Real Estate, Private Equity, Banking and Insurance.
Corporate Tax is a constantly changing and increasingly high-profile field and this role will allow you to work in an innovative and supportive environment with lots of flexibility and the space to develop your career in the areas that really interest you.

Both full time and part time roles are available with flexible working arrangements which include, early or late starts to fit around other commitments, shorter working days etc.
How will you fit?
In order to take on this role, you will:
- Have experience of preparation or review of corporate tax computations and returns.
- Be able to identify and resolve technical issues, or escalate as appropriate.
- Have an awareness of specific technical areas including: capital versus revenue treatment; pension scheme and share scheme adjustments; group relief; basic transfer pricing; tax accounting for single entities and groups; controlled foreign companies and corporate interest restriction.
- Have strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have excellent team work and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets.
- Alphatax is the primary compliance deliverable tool. A background in another tax software solution will come with transferable skills and transition training will be provided
- Pay strong attention to detail and excellent computer skills.
- Have excellent team working and organisational skills.
- Have strong interpersonal skills are required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have academic aptitude.
- Show enthusiasm for corporate tax compliance.
It is not a requirement to have Financial Services tax experience.
You’ll add value to the team by:
- Providing day to day support to Managers and Assistant Managers to assist with their portfolio of clients.
- Preparing or reviewing the first draft tax computation for a portfolio of clients, take responsibility for ensuring their tax computations are prepared on a timely basis for review.
- Understanding and planning for the client requirements at the start of each compliance cycle based on instructions received and timetable agreed with the client and deliver work in accordance with those requirements.
- Liaising with the client to obtain information required to prepare tax computations.
- Identifying technical issues, prepare initial technical analysis and liaison with senior colleagues to resolve technical position.
- If desired, the role offers the opportunity to get involved in tax advisory work to help build out your expertise and experience.
- Building and maintaining relationships with teams in other company offices and with our offshore partners.
- Assisting with other ad hoc tax compliance work including tax accounting.
- Following company best practice and policy around the compliance process.
- Building an understanding and actively using company technology in the compliance progress.
