What’s the Opportunity?
Iconic Resourcing presents a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Assistant Manager to join a successful Corporate Tax Advisory Team within one of the Big 4 Accountancy Practices. The role can be based out of either Glasgow or Edinburgh
The role is fast moving and varied. You will be the principal contact on a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters and will work with Senior Managers and Managers on the firm’s largest client. You should expect to be advising on matters such as group reorganizations, tax due diligence, financing, international tax and tax governance.
You will also supervise the work of junior staff members and provide coaching to support their development.
How will you fit?
In order to take on this role, you will:
- Ideally be CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Sustain a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work
- Communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear
- Have prior corporate tax experience and the motivation to develop their tax technical and client relationship skills
- Take personal responsibility and accountability for own work

- Coach less experienced staff
- Work in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community

- Monitor and uphold high quality of service and products to clients (internal and external)
You’ll add value to the team by:
- Ensuring clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business
- Working with specialists to deliver expertise to the local market
- Responding appropriately to requests from clients for other company services
- Managing the tax compliance process, working closely with the delivery team in the Tax Centre of Excellence
- Assisting Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate risk management procedures and financial management
- Support the leadership with business development opportunities
