What’s the Opportunity?
Iconic Resourcing presents a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Valuations Manager (ERS) to join a successful tax team within one of the Big 4 Accountancy Practices.
The firm’s Tax Valuation Services (“TVS”) works with a broad spectrum of clients, from high net-worth individuals to large blue-chip corporates, in establishing the tax market value of shares, intangible assets and other business assets, using an array of valuation methodologies and techniques.
Internally, the team works closely with the Reward and Transfer Pricing teams, as well as providing support on M&A engagements.
To support the ambitious growth plans of the TVS team, the firm are seeking to recruit someone who will enjoy the potential for rapid personal development and will play a fundamental role in ensuring the success of the team’s ambitions.
You will be exposed to a variety of complex and challenging valuation work across a broad range of industry sectors so an enthusiasm for understanding the commercial motivations of businesses is a must!
How will you fit?
In order to take on this role, you will:
- Have a relevant financial qualification, e.g. ACA, CTA, CFA (although candidate with sufficient relevant experience shall also be considered).
- Be comfortable using MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Have strong analytic and research skills, together with the commercial awareness to identify how businesses create value.
- Have outstanding project management skills to work concurrently across multiple projects to deliver high quality work on time and in budget.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ideally have experience in valuations of shares and other assets
- Have knowledge of valuation methodologies such as earnings multiples, DCF and option pricing models.
- IFRS 2 valuation experience is beneficial but not essential.
However, candidates with a basic understanding of valuation techniques, strong commercial awareness and enthusiasm to learn will also be considered.
You’ll add value to the team by:
- Working closely with the Director and Senior Managers, managing the entire lifecycle of valuation projects from business development to delivery.
- Carrying out detailed business analysis to support valuation.
- Supervising the preparation of valuation reports and letters.
- Taking responsibility for both internal and external client communication to ensure a streamlined approach to project execution.
- Developing internal and external networks to establish relationships and build business.
- Supervising valuation research, using data sources such as Companies House, Thompson One and especially Capital IQ as well as effectively using the offshore research team.
- Providing training and coaching to develop junior staff.
