Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a hugely successful global organisation in their search to appoint a Temporary Payroll Assistant on a full-time, hybrid & flexible working basis.
With a strong reputation in the market for their product offering and visibility, this organisation have experienced high levels of growth within their sector and are seeking additional support within their Payroll Head Office team. The primary objective of this position is to oversee and facilitate the migration of the current payroll system to another site by the conclusion of 2024. Initially, pivotal responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with the current payroll administrator to ensure punctual and precise administration of salaries and wages to all employees in compliance with the company's legal commitments. Key areas of the role will surround:
- Excel as a Payroll, Timekeeping, and Attendance System go-to, meticulously maintaining data accuracy within their platform
- Collaborate seamlessly with the team to ensure payroll processing is not just accurate, but punctual, meeting crucial business deadlines. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities that may arise
- Empower managers and employees by providing invaluable support and guidance on the intricacies of the internal system, whether it's through one-on-one training sessions or comprehensive group inductions, your expertise will ensure everyone navigates the system with confidence
- Take charge of subcontractor payrolls with precision, liaising closely with agencies to guarantee accurate payments and swiftly address any queries that may arise
- Collaborate closely with our Compensation and Benefits Manager, providing crucial payroll data for audits, both internal and external, whenever the need arises
- Maintain the integrity of the system through regular audits, ensuring all employee data remains current and accurate, from headcount tracking to policy assignments
- Serve as a reliable backup for pension contribution uploads, ensuring timely updates and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the streamlining/ improvement of current processes in place to ensure their effectiveness
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Strong experience within a Payroll processing role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to operate well within a fast-paced & deadline driven environment
- Ability to prioritise workload and deal with impending deadlines
- Great attention to detail skills
- Strong IT literacy with excellent Excel knowledge
